The Permanent Endowment for Martha’s Vineyard is accepting applications for its spring grant cycle.

“This year the Permanent Endowment Board has approved a modest increase in funding available for grants,” Anne Williamson, Permanent Endowment chairman, said. “Although our resources are limited, we recognize the many ways that Vineyard nonprofits help to build a better Island and are committed to contributing what we can to the financial resources they need.”

Island nonprofit organizations with IRS 501(c)(3) status seeking funding for new projects, as well as continuing programs that benefit the Vineyard community, are encouraged to apply. In the past, the endowment has provided support for the arts and culture, civic affairs and community development, education, the elderly, the environment, housing, health and human services and youth, according to a press release.

Application materials are available on the endowment’s website and in the reference section of each town library on the Island. All applications must be postmarked by February 15th and applicants will be notified of grant awards in April. For information call 508-338-4665 or go to info@endowmv.org.
