For the second year in a row, Kate Murray’s Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School theater students presented an original play to kick-off Island Theatre Workshop’s one act play festival. The students performed “Laces,” a one act about the Holocaust written by Ms. Murray with input from her students, this past Friday and Saturday at the Katharine Cornell Theatre.

The group – nine current and former theater students – recently returned from the Mass Educational Theater Guild’s high school festival held Saturday, March 5 in Shrewsbury, where they performed the one act. Five festival participants from the Vineyard won awards: actors Sidra Dumont, Ashley Gwynn, Taylor McNeely, Sarah Dawson; and costume designer Ashley Girard.
