Barbara Ronchetti, owner of Island Alpaca, took two of her four-legged charges to Boston on Tuesday to the Governor’s Reception for the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism, which opened the Massachusetts Travel and Tourism Conference on Wednesday.
Ms. Ronchetti was accompanied by Phoenix Russell of Chilmark, who works at Island Alpaca.
Not only is Island Alpaca’s goal to bring more visitors to Massachusetts, the Island, and their farm, they also hope to furnish alpacas for The White House lawn.
Also attending the conference was Nancy Gardella of the Martha’s Vineyard Chamber of Commerce.
