Weston lacrosse prevail
A strong Weston varsity boys lacrosse team hove into port Saturday and proceeded to trounce the Vineyarders, 16-3.
The Wildcat jayvees also won, 4-1.
The Vineyarders lost many of its first stringers to graduation last June. Certainly no shame is attached to a loss to Weston which finished in the top three in the state last year.

Tennis flex league
Spring somehow manages to be a disappointment on Martha’s Vineyard and so far this year is no exception. But the calendar guarantees warmer weather and that means, among other things, lots of tennis played on outdoor courts, including an opportunity to join the MV Community Tennis Flex Leagues.
There are 180 members of the Flex League on the Vineyard and room for more of all sorts and conditions.
Flex League matches are played at public courts around the Island including Boxberry, Lake Street, Tisbury town courts, MV High School, Oak Bluffs Elementary and Edgartown town courts.
The men’s leagues will start play on Sunday, April 17, and finish in early June. At present there are four men’s leagues: Men’s A level singles, Men’s B level singles, Men’s Power B doubles and Men’s Strong B doubles.
A and C league will be created if enough men are interested.
