The Martha’s Vineyard Little League played a full schedule this week. Tuesday, the Sox edged the Cards in a pitchers dual, 2-1.
On Monday, the A’s ran away from the Pirates, 9-2.
Saturday, the Cardinals and Cubs engaged in a tight match finally won by the Cards, 6-5. The loudest blow was Tristan Araujo’s 2 out, 2 rbi triple in the fourth inning.
Jacob Cardoza was 3 for 3 at the plate. Joe Davis was effective in relief.
Also Saturday, the Pirates scored eight runs in the sixth and sank the Red Sox, 10-5.
