The Vineyard’s travel soccer teams wrapped up regular season play this weekend.
The U11 boys travel soccer team finished its rookie season on a high note, defeating Oceana of North Eastham, 2-1. Leading the offense were Cai Lombardi and Miles Albert. Goals were scored by Spencer Dario and Lukah Vieira.
The U11s finished their season with a 4-2-2 record.
Coaches Primo Lombardi, Rocco Bellebuono, and Perry Ambulos look forward to next year’s season.
In other boys travel soccer action, the U12s stayed unbeaten at 9-0-0 with a 1-0 win at Fall River, Saturday. Jonathan Santana scored the lone goal. The Vineyard defense prevented Fall River from taking a single shot on goal.
The U16s also remained perfect by downing host Mashpee 5-1 on Sunday, for their eighth win against zero defeats.
The U18 boys improved to 3-2-2, with a 4-0 win over Sandwich at Veteran’s Park on Sunday.
On the girls side, the U13 squad lost to visiting Swansea-Somerset 3-1 on Saturday and the U15’s were edged by Oceana 2-1 on Sunday in Vineyard Haven.
