With transportation provided by Clarence A. “Trip” Barnes III Moving and Storage, and elbow grease by a dozen volunteers, thousands of books were moved last weekend from the book shack at the West Tisbury Library to the cafeteria at the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School. It was the first step in preparation fot the library’s big annual booksale, to be held this year from July 29 to August 1. Now the effort shifts to sorting the books by category, a project that a team of volunteers headed by Lee Revere will tackle.
Ordinarily held at the West Tisbury School, the booksale has been moved this year to the high school because of construction work going on at its usual site.
