To the Editor:
I feel very strongly about the practice retailers have of not putting the complete price, including tax, on items, be it food, clothing, etc. Many European countries give prices, including tax, on all items where applicable, and this gives clarity to the buyer. I dislike thinking “I can afford that,” and discovering on payment, that I can’t.
