All of Al’s Pals are happy as clams that the Al’s Package Store 2010 Dodge Charger, driven by Chris “Fibber” Magee of Vineyard Haven, drove hard to a ninth-place finish at the World Series of Speedway Racing at Thompson International Speedway in Thompson, Conn., last weekend.
Magee qualified seventh for the 30 lap race, but had to make his way back through the field following a bump from Super Modified race winner Chris Perley. The race was slowed by three cautions in all.
New England and Canadian race fans enjoy this annual final race of the season and look forward to the “Icebreaker” in April which will kick off the new season.
Magee plans to be there in 2012, with his super late model Dodge Charger, which is locally sponsored by the aforementioned Al’s Package Store, Island Water Source, Bay State Towing, and The Island Group real estate.
He invites any one interested to contact him at Bay State Towing, 627-4761.
