Martha’s Vineyard Arena this week announced that Christine Todd would join the ice arena staff in the newly created position of development director.
Ms. Todd, who most recently helped the adjacent YMCA raise the money it needed to open its doors, brings a wealth of experience in marketing, fundraising and development, arena officials said. “We are thrilled to have her on our team and excited about the future of the Arena,” said MV Arena board president Jim Kelleher said. “The Arena has been serving the Island in varying capacities for over 35 years. We have great community support and will need to properly manage and broaden our donor base in order to satisfy our current and future needs. Not many know the Arena was one of the first nonprofits on the Vineyard to offer healthy activities for all Island residents and families. We are committed to strengthening the ties with our generous donors and with those who simply just want to enjoy the ice.”
