If you have a question about smoke detectors, heat detectors, or carbon monoxide detectors, Oak Bluffs building inspectors and firefighters have answers.
On May 16, acting building inspector Jim Dunn and fire chief Pete Forend will host an “Ask the Inspector” session at 9 am in the lower level meeting room at town hall.
“It’s to develop public awareness of safety in the home,” Mr. Dunn said. “It’s to get people more comfortable coming in to town hall. We’re going to do this once a month, and if it’s successful, we might do it twice a month.”
The town’s plumbing inspector, wiring inspector, and zoning administrator will also field questions.
Oak Bluffs homeowners are encouraged to ask about permits, regulations, and laws that cover detectors, or other building issues during the informal question and answer session.
