Dale and Sue Collinson took first place honors at the Thursday, June 14, Island Bridge Club (IBC) gathering with a 59.26 percent average. Also playing east-west, Joe Ashcroft and Molly Whalen came in second, David Donald and Rich Colter finished third and Bob Iadicicco and John O’Keefe were in fourth place.
Among the teams playing north-south, Sandy and Michael Lindheimer were the high scorers (59.04 percent average), with Cece Dobbs/Ken Judson in second place, Gail Farrish/Patsy McCornack third and Anita Persson/Foster Greene team taking fourth place.
Nine tables were in play.
Earlier in the week, the team of Jim Kaplan and Miles Jaffe ran away with the competition, scoring an astounding 70.83 percent win during the MV Bridge Club (MVBC) gathering Tuesday night.
Bill Blakesley/Cecily Greenaway took second place, David Donald/Michel Riel were in third and Sandy and Michael Lindheimer finished fourth. Ten tables were in play.
Both the MVBC and the IBC duplicate competitions are sanctioned by the American Contract Bridge League.

The IBC game is held Thursday evenings at 7 pm at the Up-Island Council on Aging Howes House in West Tisbury. Players needing a partner are urged to contact Duncan at 508-693-0234 or Dr_dew@comcast.net by noon on Wednesday for assistance. The cost is $5 per session.
