Farm Neck hosted the annual tennis tournament benefiting the Fish Farm for Haiti project, last weekend.
More than 60 players participated in the event, which raised in excess of $3,000.
In the Men’s A Doubles division, Reid Yennie and Kent Leonard took the title with a 7-5, 6-3 win over Paul Adler and Tim Penicaud. Patrick Caine and Skip Dostal won the consolation draw final, 6-4, 6-2 over Robert Rippcondi and Robert Sidoti.
The Men’s B Doubles draw was a round robin competition and the Cooperriders, Axsel and Nainoa, came in first place.
In the women’s draws, Kat Roberts and Lizzie Williamson defeated Alyssa Adler and Hannah Webster 6-4, 7-6, to win the B Doubles Division. Barbara Leonard and Lili Cooperrider were the consolation champs. The pair won the first set 6-0 over Katherine McHugh and Catherine Quackenbos, who retired in set two.
Mixed doubles featured four draws. Sue Kimball and Arthur Stafford won the A Doubles crown 6-1, 6-3 over Debbie Cooper and John Harris. Mary Bressler and Ken Armistead topped the consolation draw, 6-1, 4-6, 10-8 in the tie-breaker, over Skip Dostal and Lili Cooperrider. In B Doubles, Gene Erez and Cathy Lattanzi won the title in a tough match against Molly Debettencourt and Kiric Hallahan, 6-7, 7-5, 10-3. Sandy Raye and Heidi Stevenson were the B Doubles consolation winners, 6-1, 6-0 over Don Barker and Janice Florin.
