Cynthia A. Joshanski of Meridian, N.Y., died on Friday, June 29, at Auburn Community Hospital. She was 70.

Cindy was born in Syracuse on April 10, 1942, the daughter of the late Edward and Helen Stone Edick.

She was the Court Clerk for the town of Cato for 15 years, and was also proud to sit beside her husband, Walt, as his “wing woman” while they plowed the town roads in the winter.

Cindy enjoyed the time she spent as the bowling league secretary at the Rainbow Lanes in Weedsport, serving from 1972 In 1987. She was a member of the Meridian Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary for 19 years and an Associate Member with the fire department.

Cindy is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Walter T. Joshanski; her beloved children, David (Donna) Crowley, Michael (Michelle) Crowley, Donald (Diane) Crowley, Richard (Tonilynn) Crowley and Kelly Crowley (Andrew) Nolan; her 17 cherished grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings James, Thomas, Bernie and Edward Edick, Dotty (Roy) Maciel of Vineyard Haven, and Gloria (Roger) Sylva of West Tisbury; many nieces and nephews and her beloved pets, Lucy Mickey, Frisbee, and Socks. In addition to her parents, Cindy was predeceased by her siblings Patty, Kathy, and Mary Stewart, Vicki Holcomb, and David Edick; and her son-in-law, Andrew Nolan, who died in March of this year.
