Cousen Rose opens Mark Zeender show

From Zero to Summer is the title of a new show by painter Mark Zeender opening at Cousen Rose Gallery on July 28 and running through August 3. Plein air, Maguire, Auster at North Water

Sharing space with work by Carol Maguire and Ken Auster at Edgartown’s North Water Gallery, artists who participated at the gallery’s plein-air invitational earlier this week will exhibit the works they completed during the event. Eisenhauer hosts Cardinal and Williams

Recent Works is the title for a new show at Edgartown’s Eisenhauer Gallery, opening July 26. It features Cape Cod artist Robert Cardinal, whose light- and color-dominated paintings hark back to Maxfield Parrish and Edward Hopper.

Pamela duLong Williams shares exhibit space with Mr. Cardinal. Trained at the Art Students League and the Boston Museum School, Ms. Williams graduated from the Vesper George School of Art in Boston. Rez Williams brings his boats to A Gallery

In Painting the Fleet 1999-2012, West Tisbury painter Rez Williams brings his commercial fishing boat series to A Gallery in a show that opens Sunday, July 29, with a reception from 5 to 8 pm. Working primarily in a large format, Mr. Williams lends powerful colors and abstract forms to the New Bedford fleet that has been his subject for more than 10 years. Photography Salon at Featherstone

Michael Johnson will host a photography salon at Featherstone Center for the Arts on Tuesday, July 31, at 7 pm. The guest artist for the event, which runs through August 14, is Harvey John Beth. Shaw Cramer opens Taft landscapes

Elizabeth Lockhart Taft is the featured artist at Shaw Cramer Gallery in Vineyard Haven this week.
