A free public screening of the TV sitcom pilot “M.V. Blues” will held be at the Capawock Theatre Thursday evening, August 9, at 9 pm and Monday evening, August 13, at 7 pm.

The 35-minute pilot, filmed on the Vineyard in the spring, was written and acted by Vineyard Haven dentist Sandy Nadelstein, his brother Brad, and a friend from his days at Brandeis, Fred Hessler.

Dozens of Vineyarders were used as extras during the filming, which took place at many different Vineyard locations. The trio have been writing comedy in their spare time since the mid 90s and were contributors to the Farrelly brothers’ hit, “There’s Something About Mary.”

The cast and crew will take questions after the screening. Audience response cards will be available for those who would like to give their opinions about the pilot. Mr. Nadelstein said that they would love to hear what people think. Tickets are available at the door.
