Last Friday and Saturday, Aug. 31 and Sept. 1, The Yard presented Yardworks with three shows of dance directed by Alison Manning and Jesse Keller.
Featured were the works and talents of The Yard staff and interns, accompanied by the Vineyard improvisational dance company, What’s Written Within. Yardworks, which began in 2011, was a success for the second year in a row and may become an annual tradition.
The Yard’s next event will be an informal showing of “The People to Come,” a participatory performance installation by artist Yanira Castro this Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 4 pm. For more information, visit dancetheyard.org.
