Preston Gray (“P.G.”) Harris, 68, died suddenly Tuesday evening, October 2, 2012, at his home in Chilmark, Mass.
He was born in Stamford, Conn., and raised on Martha’s Vineyard. He attended Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School and received a BA from UMass Amherst. He was manager of the Charter division of Peter Pan Bus Lines. He was the general partner of the Great Rock Bight Partnership.
A gentle friend to all, he was the center of his family and the tireless, loving caretaker of the beautiful family property on Chilmark’s North Shore
He was predeceased by his brother, Dickie; his mother, Louise; and his father, Sydney.
He leaves his wife, Aihua Sun Harris, and their son, Yongda, of Boston, Mass; his sister, Tracy Harris Stillman of South Weymouth; his brother, Kendall Harris of Chilmark; and two nieces and a nephew.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his name to the American Diabetes Association, 10 Speen St., 2nd flr, Framingham, MA 01701.
