Oak Bluffs turns on the twinkle

The temperature was chilly, but the spirit of the holidays was warm and toasty when Oak Bluffs flipped the switch on its holiday spirit in the downtown business district and Ocean Park on Wednesday, Nov. 28.

To the great delight of the children, Santa Claus made the rounds and collected a hefty sack of donations for the Island Food Pantry.

A large and warmly dressed crowd packed Healey Square to count down to the tree lighting, and hear a brass ensemble play the music of the season.
