Boston Cream, buttercrunch, and warm apple fritters flowed out of Back Door Donuts this weekend, as Islanders and visitors flocked to the back parking lot of the Reliable Market in Oak Bluffs to gobble up the delectable delicacies.
The Island institution opened for the season Friday evening, and the hardiest of fans braved a driving rain storm to collect the first fresh donuts.
