The Sweet Life Cafe in Oak Bluffs will open its doors this Friday, May 24, under new ownership. Kevin and Suzanna Crowell, owners of Détente Restaurant in Edgartown, will operate the Circuit Avenue establishment keeping the name and the space the same while updating the menu.
“It will be the same philosophy of Détente, a modern seasonal kitchen,” Mr. Crowell said. So far, the menu development has been a collaboration between chef de cuisine Hal Ryerson of Détente and chef de cuisine Carlos Montoya (from Sweet Life) along with head chef Kevin Crowell.
“We’ve always adored the Sweet Life space and felt that the romance of the space and charm of the building fit well with what we do,” Mr. Crowell said.
