Arthur James Metell of Vineyard Haven died on February 9, 2014. He was born on June 18, 1941.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Pachico Metell; his son Kirk Metell, and his wife Kelley, of Vineyard Haven; a daughter Roxanne Klein and her husband Ronald; a son, Kenneth Dube and his wife Michelle of Buffalo, N.Y. 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister Elaine Dias and her husband Manuel; sister Patricia Litchfield; brother Kenneth Metell and his wife Linda; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Irene (Ferreira) Metell, and his son, Alan Dube. A private memorial service will be held in the spring for the family. Semper Fi.
