The Lampost Bar and Nightclub in Oak Bluffs, which opened for the season last month, hosted a festive Cinco De Mayo party on Monday, May 5. The celebration kicked off at 7 pm with a dance party featuring DJs Bob Tolken and Dan Consoni, aka “Bob and Beans.” The bar also offered a fajita special all day as a nod to the holiday’s Mexican origins.
Sharky’s Cantina in Edgartown also hosted festivities Monday evening. The restaurant offered free food all day, as well as a taco-eating contest, but the main attraction was free mechanical bull rides. DJ AP and DJ Ceazzaleanno provided a musical backdrop. The night also marked Sharky’s Edgartown’s six-year anniversary.
