The Martha’s Vineyard Times is pleased to announce a partnership with the 2014 Martha’s Vineyard Food & Wine Festival as exclusive local media sponsor. The event is organized by the Edgartown Board of Trade (EBT).

This major visitor attraction will take place on October 16–19, with headquarters at The Harbor View Hotel. The Grand Tasting is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 18 and is the highlight of the four-day event, which also showcases Vineyard culinary talent, cooking demos, and a “Fresh off the Farm” dine-around event. Forbes Travel Guide named the Festival as one of the “Top 10 Festivals to Taste” in 2013.

The EBT founded the Martha’s Vineyard Food & Wine Festival in 2007. Currently, EBT membership includes 141 businesses in the Town of Edgartown, including downtown, Upper Main Street, The Triangle, and the M.V. Airport Business Park. A major attribute is the support MVFWF provides to Island non-profits, this year Island Grown Schools (IGS) and the Martha’s Vineyard Agricultural Society’s Farmers Program. IGS, part of the Island Grown Initiative umbrella, is the Island’s farm-to-school program, which seeks to raise a generation of Vineyarders connected to local farms and farmers. Martha’s Vineyard Agricultural Society’s Farmers Program supports local farmers. The Times will provide print, web, and social media promotion and is pleased to join major sponsors including The Boston Globe.
