At the Edgartown Bridge Club at Howes House on Monday, June 23, eight tables were in play. North-South winners were Judy Cronig and Molly Mattoon, followed by Claudia Bowser and Clara Hargraves in second, and Duncan and Jocelyn Walton in third. East-West winners were Mollie Whalen and Joe Ashcroft, followed by Bea Phear and Barbara Silk in second, and Sari Lipkin and Carol Whitmarsh in third. For the summer months, the Edgartown Bridge Club will be holding its games at Howes House in West Tisbury on Mondays, starting at 12:45.
At the Martha’s Vineyard Bridge Club in Vineyard Haven on Tuesday, June 24, 15 pairs competed. Finishing first overall were Eric Stricoff and Rhonda Cohen, followed by Ken Judson and John O’Keefe in second, Barbara Besse and Gail Farrish in third, David Donald and Michel Riel in fourth, Barbara McLagen and Rich Alpert in fifth, and Audrey Egger and Miles Jaffe in sixth.
At the Island Bridge Club in West Tisbury on Thursday, June 26, nine tables were in play. Finishing first in the North-South direction were Barbara Silk and Bea Phear, followed by Eric Stricoff and Rhonda Cohen in second, Foster Osborne and Lou Winkelman in third, and Sue Collinson and Sandy Smith in fourth. In the East-West direction, Andrew Jacknain and John O’Keefe finished first, followed by Mollie Whalen and Joe Ashcroft in second. Tied for third place were Nancy and Dan Cabot and David Donald and Rich Colter.
At the Bridge Club of Martha’s Vineyard on Saturday, June 28, five tables were in play. Finishing first North-South were Eric Stricoff and Rhonda Cohen, followed by Duncan Walton and Richard Eubanks in second. East-West winners were Charity Randolph and Trudy Ulmer, followed by Claudia Bowser and Brenda Davenport in second. The Bridge Club of Martha’s Vineyard meets Saturdays at 9 am at the Senior Citizens Center in Tisbury. Play begins at 9:30.
