Evan “Babe” H. Peters of East Falmouth died at Falmouth Hospital on November 5, 2014. He was 86.
Babe served in the U.S. Navy and worked as a union pile driver. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and was a member of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe, Holy Ghost Association of M.V., Falmouth Elks, and Falmouth Midway Trap and Skeet Club.
Babe spent many days on and around the Island and loved many of its locals and would want them to know of his passing.
He is survived by his brother, Henry “Hi” Peters of E. Falmouth; his sister, Ruth Black of Montpelier, Virginia; his granddaughter, Tracy Donahue (Alwardt) of Sandwich; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 pm followed by a 2 pm service on Friday, November 14, at the Old Indian Meeting House, 410 Meeting House Road, Mashpee. Burial will be at Old Indian Cemetery in Mashpee.
