Islanders gathered in livingrooms, restaurants and bars from Gay Head to Chappy let out a collective cheer following a Super Bowl game that seemed in doubt until a last minute interception on the goal line sealed the victory for the New England Patriots.
In one of the most exciting games in the history of the Super Bowl and with two minutes to go in the game, Seattle moved down the field and was poised to score. But as they have so many times, the Patriots found a way to win. Rookie Malcolm Butler picked off Russell Wilson’s pass and the Pats claimed their fourth Super Bowl title.
