Another week, another snow storm and more disruptions for Vineyarders waiting for some glimmer of spring.
As snow fell Thursday morning, Superintendent of Martha’s Vineyard Schools James Weiss announced schools would be closed today.
Tisbury announced that town offices would not open until noon. However, that schedule is subject to change. Tisbury also announced a parking ban would be in effect from 8 am to noon, Thursday. Judging from Main Street and other town roads, few drivers were aware of the ban.
A storm passing south of the Vineyard is expected to drop up to 4 to 6 inches of snow today, according to weather reports.
A winter storm warning is in effect until 7 pm, today.
Cancellations
The West Tisbury Library will close at 4 pm.
The Martha’s Vineyard Photography Club meeting at the Vineyard Haven Library tonight has been rescheduled to Thursday, March 12, at 6 pm.
Today’s meeting of the Martha’s Vineyard Commission has been cancelled due to the weather.
