Edgartown selectmen Tuesday agreed to allow a private contractor to block off parking spaces in front of the Warren House on North Water Street until May 15, in order to allow cement trucks unimpeded access to the building site while renovations on the property proceed.

In other traffic news, selectmen also signed off on an application from library contractors to block Roberts Way, the short connecting roadway between Robinson Road and Edgartown–West Tisbury Road that runs past the Edgartown School and new Edgartown LIbrary, for a period of 48 days.

Selectmen have approved a conservation restriction for Sheriff’s Meadow on Chappaquiddick.

Town Administrator Pam Dolby also reported that the Division of Marine Fisheries approved the board’s decision of March 17 to extend the bay scallop season to April 17.

Town reports are available at town hall, and annual town meeting warrant booklets have been mailed.
