Like kale soup? This Sunday, April 19, from 5 to 7 pm, you can eat it to your heart’s content at the Kale Soup Throwdown event to benefit the Islanders Talk Benevolent Fund at the Portuguese-American Club. Sample kale soup by Islanders from all over that will be judged and awarded in several categories. The Islanders Talk Benevolent Fund was created by Islanders for Islanders in need by the popular group on Facebook where locals and washashores alike come together for the latest Island news, updates, and more. Event includes entertainment, silent auction, and 50-50 raffle. $10 admission, $5 for kids 5 to 10; kids under 5 are free.
