At the Edgartown Bridge Club on Monday, April 27, seven pairs competed. Finishing first were Diana Dozier and Caroline Baum, followed by Mollie Whalen and Joe Ashcroft in second, and Kevin Carey and Carolyn Flynn in third.
At the Martha’s Vineyard Bridge Club on Tuesday, April 28, seven pairs competed in a charity event. Finishing first were Mollie Whalen and Joe Ashcroft. Tied for second place were Eric Stricoff, playing with John O’Keefe, and Barbara Besse, playing with Sue Collinson.
At the Island Bridge Club in West Tisbury on Thursday, April 30, six pairs competed. Tied for first place were Carol Whitmarsh, playing with John O’Keefe, and Bea Phear, playing with Barbara Silk.
Islanders also played in the Cape Cod Open Sectional in Hyannis. Congratulations to Dave Donald and Barbara Besse, who placed in two Silver Pairs events on Wednesday, April 29.
