A memorial service is scheduled for Virginia (Ginny) Blakesley of West Tisbury at 3 pm, Sunday, June 14, at the West Tisbury Congregational Church, followed by a reception in the parish hall.
Virginia, an artist, teacher, and political activist, died of pneumonia on March 3, 2015, at age 93, just 10 days short of her 94th birthday, at Windemere Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Oak Bluffs.
