At the Edgartown Bridge Club on Monday, June 15, 10 tables were in play. Finishing first North-South were Eric Stricoff and Rhonda Cohen, followed by Deirdre Ling and Bea Phear in second, Joan Perrine and Dave Donald in third, and Jane Haley and Carol Stark in fourth. Finishing first in the East-West direction were Duncan Walton and Richard Eubanks, followed by Mollie Whalen and Joe Ashcroft in second, Diana Dozier and Gerry Averill in third, and Carol Whitmarsh and Sari Lipkin in fourth. The Edgartown Bridge Club is now holding its Monday-afternoon games at the Tisbury Senior Center. Game time is 1 pm.
At the Martha’s Vineyard Bridge Club in Vineyard Haven on Tuesday, June 16, nine tables were in play for a special game. Finishing first overall were Jim Kaplan and Miles Jaffe with a 71 percent game. Second place overall, and first place North-South, went to Sandy Lindheimer and Barbara Besse. Third place overall went to Rich Alpert and Barbara McLagen. Tied for fourth place overall were John O’Keefe, partnered with Andy Jacknian, and Michael Lindheimer, partnered with Bob Iadicicco. Also finishing in the North-South direction were Dave Donald and Michel Riel in second place, followed by Eric Stricoff and Rhonda Cohen in third, and Deirdre Ling and Ed Russell in fourth.
At the Island Bridge Club in West Tisbury on Thursday, June 18, 10 tables were in play. Finishing in a tie for first place in the North-South direction were Bea Phear, partnered with Lolly Hand, and Sandy and Michael Lindheimer. Third place went to Ken Judson and Anita Persson, while fourth place went to Barbara Besse and Miles Jaffe. In the East-West direction, Dave Donald and Rich Colter finished first, followed by Brooks Robards and Sari Lipkin in second, Dan and Nancy Cabot in third, and Linda Shapiro and Jim Kaplan in fourth. Game time is 7 pm at Howes House.
At the Bridge Club of Martha’s Vineyard on Saturday, June 20, seven tables were in play. Finishing in first place in the North-South direction were Ken Judson and Sandy Smith, followed by Duncan Walton and Wink Winkleman in second, and Deirdre Ling and Diane Drake in third. In the East-West direction, Tillie Foster and Emily Robertson finished first, followed by Brooks Robards and Jim Kaplan in second, and Brenda Davenport and Barbara Aileyne in third. Game time is 9 am at the Tisbury Senior Center every Saturday.
