The Permanent Endowment Fund for Martha’s Vineyard announced it has restructured its grants program from a biannual spring/fall grant cycles to one annual grant cycle in the fall of each year beginning this September.

“While we will look forward to continuing our familiar practice of meeting the specific and direct needs of Island nonprofits, we anticipate that by concentrating our grant cycle to once yearly we will also have the capacity to offer larger grants,” Emily Bramhall, board chairman said.

Through its grants program, the Endowment seeks to raise awareness about important Vineyard-specific issues, respond to community needs, foster collaboration among nonprofit organizations, and support innovative approaches to improving the quality of life on the Island, according to a press release.

The Endowment welcomes applications from Island nonprofit organizations with IRS 501 (c) (3) status, seeking funding for new projects as well as from continuing programs that benefit the Vineyard community. The Endowment provides support for all aspects of island life including opportunities in the Arts, Community, Education, Environment, and Human Services.

Fall 2015 grant application materials are available on the Endowment’s website at www.endowmv.org and must be postmarked by September 25 if mailed, and sent by September 27 if e-mailed.  All applicants will be notified of grant awards in early November.
