
A highly anticipated Community Sing event will take place this weekend on Saturday, Sept. 26, with special guest and song leader Nick Page. The regular Community Sing event, organized by Roberta Kirn, will feature Mr. Page of the Mystic Chorale, who will lead a “Community Building Sing” at the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School (MVRHS) Performing Arts Center Chorus Room.
Mr. Page is a song leader, composer, choral conductor, and workshop leader who has led sings throughout North America and Europe. Exploring music of different cultures, his repertoire includes Latin American, Celtic, Israeli, South African, Eastern European, and American music. Renowned for his boundless enthusiasm, humor, spirituality, and sense of justice, Nick welcomes everyone to raise their voices together in a way unlike anything you’ve ever done before.
“Nick loves building communities through song, and invites people who sing in the shower as well as their diva friends to explode with humble magnificence. He invites the young at heart of all ages. He invites progressives and conservatives, mystics and questioners, seekers and the happily lost. He mixes original songs with songs of wonder and whimsy from many lands,” says Ms. Kirn.
