On Saturday, Nov. 21, at 4 pm, Patrick Phillips will give a reading from his latest book of poetry, “we plié” at the West Tisbury Library. A Q & A session will follow. “We plié” is a series in five sets of 20 poems written over the course of 12 years. Mr. Phillips lives in West Tisbury with his wife and works at The Martha’s Vineyard Times. Through his poetry and his community-focused initiatives — formerly Arts & Ideas and Vineyard Voice, and now HereLab — Mr. Phillips says he “endeavors to spark new forms of social imagination.” He is the author of “Ruin,” a book of poetry, and has completed a manuscript for a book of nonfiction, its working title: “A Light Bird to Be.” For more information, call 508-693-3366 or visit westtisburylibrary.org.
