Makos swim team competes off-Island

The Makos Swim Team 10 and under group competed in Eastham in the SEMSL League Stroke Championship against teams from Marshfield, Eastham and Nantucket Sunday.

Ronan Mullin won the 8 and under boys 50- and 25-yard butterfly. Annabelle Brothers placed second in her category for 100- and 50-yard butterfly as well as 100- and 50-yard freestyle. Caroline Walsh won the 100- and 50-yard breaststroke. Christian Flanders placed second in his 100- and 50-yard breaststroke, as well as the 100- and 50-yard freestyle.

Andrue Carr, Padraic Mullin, Everett Dorr, and Christian Flanders placed second in the 200-yard freestyle relay, behind the Nantucket team.

The Makos will host a distance swim meet for the League on Sunday, Feb. 7, and will travel to Nantucket for their League Championship on March 5 and 6.
