Michael J. Medeiros of Edgartown died on Feb. 9, 2016, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He was 48.
Michael was born and raised on Martha’s Vineyard. He was the son of George Medeiros and Glenda Medeiros.
Michael was loved and known everywhere he went. His favorite place was Offshore Ale in Oak Bluffs. Every time he walked through the door, they would bring him to his favorite table and whip up anything he wanted, even if it wasn’t on the menu. He loved to go fishing with family and friends. His friend Jimbo Clark took him everywhere he wanted to go, and helped take care of Michael when Glenda needed help.
Throughout the years his mother Glenda took care of him. When he passed away, it took a big toll on her.
He was loved and will be missed by his father George, his mother Glenda, his brother George Medeiros Jr., his sister Kimberly Steigelman, his brother-in-law Christopher Steigelman, his niece Kara Steigelman and his nephews Brandon Steigelman and Richard Medeiros, his good friend Jimbo Clark, and his wonderful nurses.
All donations in his memory may be sent to Glenda Medeiros, 3 Duarte Circle, Edgartown, MA 02539. A service will be held at a later date when the weather is nicer.
