Earlier this week, choruses of pinkletinks sang their spring songs. And on Friday, Edgartown hosted yet another sign of the season: the opening of Dairy Queen. Children from all over the Island reported dashing out of their schools to get in line. Dozens of Vineyarders waited on a cool but sunny day, ready to order chocolate, vanilla, twists and blizzards. All the children this reporter spoke to just shouted “Ice Cream!” in response to questions.
