Jeffrey “Bubba” Allen Wray died April 9, 2016, at the Cape Cod Hospital. He was 44.
Jeffrey was born August 21, 1971, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. He attended the Edgartown School and graduated from the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School. Jeffrey worked in the carpentry and landscaping business. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and hunting. He enjoyed cruises and vacationing in Aruba. Jeffrey loved his dogs Spot and Prince.
He is survived by his parents William and Kathleen Wray of Edgartown, sister Jennifer Gibb and her husband John and niece Hannah of Oak Bluffs; sister Laurie Turney, her husband Joe, and nephew Joseph and niece Emily of West Tisbury; his grandfather James Wray of Somerset, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 14, from 6 pm to 8 pm in the Chapman, Cole and Gleason Funeral Home, Edgartown Road, Oak Bluffs. A funeral-home service will be held on Friday, April 15, at 11 am followed by burial in the New Westside Cemetery, Robinson Road, Edgartown. Family and friends will gather following the service at the Holy Ghost Association (Portuguese American Club), Vineyard Avenue, Oak Bluffs. Please bring a dish to share.
