At the Edgartown Bridge Club on Monday, June 6, eight tables were in play. Finishing first North-South were Eric Stricoff and Rhonda Cohen, followed by Barbara Silk and Dave Donald in second, and Gerry Averill and Diana Dozier in third. Finishing first in the East-West direction were Bea Phear and Baba Smith, followed by John O’Keefe and Ken Judson in second, and Lolly Hand and Margaret Hannemann in third.
At the Martha’s Vineyard Bridge Club in Vineyard Haven on Tuesday, June 7, 14 pairs competed in a special game. Finishing first overall were Miles Jaffe and Barbara Besse, followed by Cecily Greenaway and Bea Phear in second, Michel Riel and Dave Donald in third, Gerry Averill and Lolly Hand in fourth, and Gail Farrish and Warren Morse in fifth place.
At the Island Bridge Club in West Tisbury on Thursday, June 9, eight tables were in play. Tied for first place in the North-South direction were Ed Russell and Deirdre Ling, and Barbara Silk and Dave Donald. Third place went to Anita Persson and Richard Williams. In the East-West direction, Lou Winkelman and Don Nelson finished first, followed by Jim Kaplan and Perry Miller in second, and Lolly Hand and Dave Donald in third.
