Vernon M. Jernegan of Edgartown died on Sunday, July 10, 2016, at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was 81. He was married to Marilyn (Viera) Jernegan, who predeceased him in August 2000.
His graveside service will be held on Friday, July 22, at 2 pm in the Old Westside Cemetery, Cooke Street, Edgartown, officiated by the Rev. Sharon Eckhardt, with military honors provided by the veterans of Martha’s Vineyard.
