Finishing in first place in the East-West direction were Jack Fullen and Marge Ramsey, followed by Vicki Bologna and Jane Haley in second, Sari Lipkin and Carol Whitmarsh in third, Barbara Alleyne and Julia Burgess in fourth, Judith Spearance and Sergio Dethiara in fifth, and Louise Marx and Jerri Grannis in sixth place.
At the Martha’s Vineyard Bridge Club in Vineyard Haven on August 16, eight tables were in play. Finishing in first place in the North-South direction were Procter Smith and Dave Donald, followed by Barbara Besse and Sandy Lindheimer in second, and Carol Whitmarsh and Deirdre Ling in third. In the east-west direction, Story Osborne and Michael Lindheimer finished in first place, followed by Lee Scott and Anita Persson in second, and Colleen Morris and Art Spielvogel in third.
At the Island Bridge Club in West Tisbury on August 18, five tables were in play. North-South winners were Lou Winkelman and Don Nelson, followed by Deirdre Ling and Ed Russell in second. East-West winners were Gerry Averill and Caroline Baum, followed by Carol Whitmarsh and Sari Lipkin in second.
