At the Edgartown Bridge Club in Vineyard Haven on October 31, nine pairs competed. Finishing in first place were Barbara Silk and Dave Donald. Tied for second place were Mollie Whalen, playing with Bea Phear, and Caroline Baum, playing with John O’Keefe. Fourth place went to Carol Whitmarsh and Ken Judson. Games begin at 1:15.
At the 7 pm Martha’s Vineyard Bridge Club in Vineyard Haven on November 1, 11 pairs competed. First place went to John O’Keefe and Ken Judson, followed by Barbara Silk and Mollie Whalen in second, and Gerry Averill and Richard Williams in third. Finishing in a tie for fourth place were Art Spielvogel, playing with Colleen Morris, and Dave Donald, playing with Michel Riel.
The starting time for the Island Bridge Club has been changed back to 7 pm following a recent trial run at 6 pm. At the game held November 3, 11 pairs competed. Finishing in first place were Mollie Whalen and Cecily Greenaway, followed by Bea Phear and Barbara Silk in second place, Caroline Baum and Gerry Averill in third, and Margaret Hanneman and Sharon Pearson in fourth.
