The Martha’s Vineyard Little League held its annual opening day parade on Saturday. The rain and clouds held off as the festivities commenced, starting with players, coaches, and family jaunting up Circuit Avenue to Viera Park. From there, the leaguers and their families regrouped at Penn Field.
Each of the teams rushed the field as they were introduced by Chris Roberts. The majors players gathered together to sing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game,” and Tad Gold was on hand to throw the symbolic first pitch of the season.
