Jamie L. Burgoyne and Ian Halbert will marry at 3 pm, Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at a private residence on Lighthouse Road in Aquinnah, followed by an onsite reception. The couple became engaged on May 30, 2016, at Lake Champlain, Burlington, Vt.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Susan and Jeffrey Burgoyne, Vineyard Haven. The groom-to-be is the son of Lisa Bachynski and Bruce Halbert, Boston, and grandson of Nicholas Bachynski. Ms. Burgoyne, formerly of Vineyard Haven, graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and received her master’s degree from the Universidad de Salamanca, Salamanca, Spain. Ms. Burgoyne is a Spanish teacher in the Needham Elementary Public Schools. Mr. Halbert is a graduate of Fordham University, New York City, and received his master’s degree from Boston University. Mr. Halbert is director of Fine Wines at Gordon’s Fine Wines in Waltham. The couple will reside in Framingham.
