The 1:15 pm game of the Edgartown Bridge Club was not held on Jan. 1, New Years Day.
At the Jan. 2, 7 pm game of the Martha’s Vineyard Bridge Club in Vineyard Haven, nine pairs competed in a special game. Finishing in first place were Don Nelson and Lou Winkelman, followed by Diane Drake and Lolly Hand in second, Barbara Besse and Carol Whitmarsh in third, and Dave Donald and Michel Riel in fourth place.
The Jan. 4, 7 pm game of the Island Bridge Club was canceled due to the blizzard.
