A two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Carole Avenue and County Road in Oak Bluffs sent at least one occupant to the hospital with unspecified injuries. A red Ford Escape and a white Ford Edge had a damaged front end and tail end respectively at the accident site. Fluids were released from the Escape as EMS personnel from Oak Bluffs and Tisbury tended to victims. Oak Bluffs took one person to the hospital while the disposition of another, who Tisbury EMTs cared for, wasn’t clear by 2:35 pm, about 10 minutes after the call came in, according to Oak Bluffs Police Chief Eric Blake, who was on scene. The number and identity of the vehicle occupants wasn’t available at the scene. Blake said his department is investigating the cause.
