The Wharf Rats swept the Sharks in a best-of-three showdown to claim the 2018 John Gibson Memorial Hockey League championship.

After narrowly surviving a semifinal battle with the Pirates, the Rats dispatched the Sharks in the finals with two convincing wins. A strong offense, solid defense, and stellar goaltending carried the Rats to victory. To the delight of their fans, the winners took a turn around the rink holding the well-earned trophy aloft. It was a fitting end to a great season.
