Little Bridge inlet gets second muckout

Work is underway to muck out the Little Bridge Inlet for a second time this year. March nor'easters reclogged the inlet after it was cleaned in January. -Rich Saltzberg

The Little Bridge inlet in Oak Bluffs is being mucked out for a second time this year. The inlet was cleaned of sand in January to facilitate navigation and Sengekontacket Pond circulation, but March nor’easters clogged up the the inlet again, an Oak Bluffs Highway Department official said. Daniel Rogers Excavating is doing the work on behalf of the highway and shellfish departments.
